There are still two months to go before the Lunar New Year. As an Amazon seller, we should pay special attention to the storage cost of Amazon, because on February 15th and August 15th every year, Amazon FBA starts long-term storage cost, which is not small, and the inventory partners need to clear the inventory immediately.
1. What is the charging standard of Amazon FBA long-term storage fee?
$11.25 per cubic foot (181 to 365 days)
$22.50 per cubic foot (over 365 days)
Where can I find out how much long-term storage fee will be charged?
In the lower right corner of Amazon background home page: inventory planning; Click on Long Term Storage charges.
Amazon FBA is going to charge for long-term storage again
2. How should sellers cope with Amazon's FBA long-term storage costs?
1. Check the reasons for unsaleable products
Is the demand of the product not high? Not clearly communicating the value of the product? Listing information not attractive? Too high a price? Keyword relevance is not strong and so on. Look for one or two obvious factors, correct them, and see if that leads to transformation.
2. Promote products that will be in stock for 6 or 12 months
If some products are going to be eligible for long-term liquidation twice a year, the seller may consider running some promotional activities to drive sales.
3. Create a Removal Order to remove inventory
If all else fails and Amazon's liquidation date looms, sellers may also want to consider disposing of some inventory. Create a Removal Order to let Amazon return the product or destroy it. The best way to do this is to calculate and analyze what you can do to minimize the cost loss.
4. Stock up outside of Amazon's warehouses
Another approach is to store products outside of Amazon's warehouses. By placing products in a place where they can be easily shipped, sellers need to keep only a small amount of inventory in Amazon's warehouses, minimizing warehousing costs while also quickly shipping products to Amazon to avoid shortages. This method is more flexible and easy to manage inventory.
