China's General Administration of Customs has issued new regulations on imported food
Starting from January 1, 2022, all overseas producers of imported food must be registered by the General Administration of Customs, recommended for registration by the competent authority of classification management, and apply for registration.
That is to say, in the future all fields of foreign food enterprises, not only need to declare and register in our customs, it will import food to our country, after the new rules out the European Union and the United States, such as many countries hurriedly expressed opposition on the matter, and request a delay in the implementation of the new food rules.
Unfortunately, the Western countries' obstruction and the European Union's entreaty were bound to have no effect. For the sake of Chinese consumers' safety, China's General Administration of Customs did not compromise. On the contrary, as the time for the new rules to come into effect approaches, China's General Administration of Customs has also issued Notice No. 103, explaining the relevant issues.

After the rules, the EU quickly appealed to China, but the EU's request has been rejected by Chinese customs.
The General Administration of Customs notice pointed out that the Chinese customs will not accept the declaration if the application is not standardized according to the requirements of the Chinese side. In addition, imported food that does not meet the requirements of the new rules will not be allowed to enter China.
